FAQ

  • What is CityWide Sports?

CityWide Sports is the adult sports division of Denver Parks & Recreation, offering professionally run leagues, tournaments, and programs across the city. Every registration helps support youth sports programs throughout Denver.

  • What skill levels do you offer?

We offer multiple divisions ranging from recreational/beginner to competitive. Our goal is to create the right level of play for every team.

  • How do I register for a league?

All registrations are completed online through the Denver Parks and Recreation website. Spots are limited and leagues often fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

  • Do I need a full team to sign up?

    No. You can register as:

    • A full team
    • A small group
    • An individual (free agent)
  • What is a free agent?

Free agents are individual players looking to join a team. We help connect free agents with teams, but placement is not guaranteed.

  • How do I submit my roster?

Team managers will submit rosters online. All players must accept their roster invite and complete the waiver before participating.

  • Can I add players during the season?

Yes—rosters can be adjusted early in the season. Deadlines vary by sport, so check your league rules.

  • Can players play on multiple teams?

Yes, but not with two teams in the same league.

  • What happens if it rains or fields are closed?

Game status updates are communicated through email and posted online. Decisions are typically made the day of play.

Games will be rescheduled whenever possible.  Teams will receive game credits for any regular season games that cannot be rescheduled.

  • What if my team can’t make a game?

Teams should notify staff as early as possible. Repeated forfeits may result in removal from the league.

  • Can schedules change?

Schedules are released before the season and may be adjusted if needed due to weather, field availability, or league size.

  • Are games played on holidays?

Holiday schedules vary by program. Any planned games or breaks will be communicated in advance.

  • Can I volunteer or get involved beyond playing?

Yes. CityWide Sports regularly hires officials, site supervisors, and program staff to support leagues and tournaments across Denver. Positions are flexible and ideal for those looking to stay involved in sports.

We also helps connect players with opportunities to coach, officiate, and support Denver Parks & Recreation youth programs. It’s a great way to stay involved and give back to the local sports community.

  • Do you have a lost and found?

Yes!  Shoot us an email and let us know what, where and when the item was lost.
